Aquatics

Council Bluffs is home to two beautiful outdoor aquatic centers. Katelman Water Park and Pirate Cove Water Park are open seasonally to the public.

Hours of Operation

• Monday's, 12:00 - 8:00 P.M.

• Tuesday - Thursday, 12:00 - 7:00 P.M.

• Friday - Sunday, 12:00 - 6:00 P.M.

Pool Parties

• Pool Parties may be booked starting Opening Day at either Katelman Pool or Pirate Cove Pool.

Family Nights

• Family Nights are on Monday's, 5:00 - 8:00 P.M.

Swimming Pool Policies

• Swim Passes are for the use of the purchaser only. Verification of family members for season passes may be required.

• Season passes are for recreational swimming at the two municipal outdoor pools only. Passes must be shown each time upon entering the pool.

• All children seven (7) years of age or younger must be accompanied by an adult during recreation swimming.

• No season pass or punch card refunds or partial refunds.

• Pools usually close August 20th - 25th, depending on available staff.

Red Cross Lifeguarding Class --- 2009 Dates - May 26 - June 2
Pre-requisite: MUST be able to swim 300 yards, swim 25 yards with a 10-pound brick, and retrieve a 10-pound brick from the deep end (the brick events are timed). Certification includes First Aid and CPR (these portions will take place before the water portion).
