RAGBRAI® IS COMING!

Saturday, July 18, 2009

Look Here!Mayor's Welcome

Dear RAGBRAI Riders and guests,
On behalf of Council Bluffs, I want to welcome you to our exciting community, the "starting town" for RAGBRAI XXXVII. You'll take home great memories of our city and The Mid-American Center area, The Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge, Ribfest, and solid musical entertainment anchored by The Barenaked Ladies. The Mid-America Center area is the hub of RAGBRAI with restaurants, gaming, intriguing public art, comfortable camping, and all the amenities of a first class celebration, plus world-class ribbers will welcome you to the sixth annual Mid-America Center Ribfest. During your visit, I encourage you to experience our historic downtown, our trail and rail legacy, and our breathtaking vistas against the backdrop of the Loess Hills. Enjoy the distinctive Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge that links two states over the Missouri River and is a short ride away on our beautiful bike trails. Thus our theme: "The bridge has spoken welcome riders to Council Bluffs." I invite you to come early and come back, I'm sure you'll find us a welcoming community full of surprises. Enjoy!
