Council Bluffs Parks, Recreation, and Public Property Department is dedicated to the enhancement and promotion of quality of life by satisfying and responding to the needs of the community by providing:

  • Safe active/passive recreational opportunities for all;

Bike to Work Week celebrates bicycle commuting, which benefits everyone through promoting health and fitness, reducing driving, parking, and health care costs, and increasing productivity!

Bike to Work Day is the culmination Bike to Work Week, May 12-16.

Bicycling for the whole family!

Join us for the Council Bluffs Third Annual Bike to Work Day!

  • 7:45 a.m.: Meet at Valley View Park, 13 Franklin Ave. Free registration and refreshments provided by Tazza di Caffe!

  • 8:00 a.m.: Bicycle Ride with Mayor Hanafan to Bayliss Park

  • 8:45 a.m.: Mayor's Proclamation

  • 9:00 a.m.: Bicycle ride back to Bayliss Park

  • Sponsored by: Bikeable Communities, Council Bluffs Parks and Recreation, Endless Trail Bike Shop, True Wheel Bike Shop, Xtreme Wheels Bike and Sports, and Tazza di Caffe.
